ON SPECIFITY OF THE LOVESTORYLINE IN DOSTOYEVSKY’S NOVELS

Krinitsyn A.B.

Abstract

The article looks at novels from Dostoevsky’s Pentateuch, focusing on peculiarities of love storyline and its role in the structure of the plot, which is considered as an established poetic system. The love storyline can never be the only basis of a plot construction, but it adds to the ideological line and the harmonization (matching) of the two lines was always a problem to Dostoevsky. The love storyline is always dramatic, even catastrophic, but since the characters’ feelings are not reciprocal over most of the story time, the development of any psychological confrontation is ruled out. The love story is discrete: it’s not a continuous line, but a series of culmination episodes, in which only a decisive tête-à-tête scene between protagonists is given in detail. Basing on social motives - an opposition of a glamorous-scandalous marriages - the love story line never assumes social forms: it results neither in marriage nor in cohabitation of the two characters. Characters either part or - in case of a harmonious, happy unit - its depiction always remains beyond the formal final of the plot.

RELIGIOUS, PHILOSOPHICAL AND LITERARY CONTEXTS OF F.I. TYUTCHEV’S POEM «TO A.V. PL <ETNYO> VA»

Gavrilenko T.A.

Abstract

The article presents an analysis of the poem of F.I. Tyutchev with the attraction of evangelical texts, works of the Russian religious philosophers, and such poets as A.S. Pushkin, VA. Zhukovsky, A.A. Fet, A.A. Maykov and F.I. Tyutchev himself. The stress is laid on the ideological position of the lyrical subject and features of figurative thinking that allow specifying a question of a place of the poet in the literary movement of the 2nd half of the XIXth century. It is proved that the consciousness of Tyutchev who created the poetic addressing includes the religious component participating in creation of images. In this case, the assumption is argued according to which the romantic canon of a creative phenomenon with its idealistic concept kept by Tyutchev as fidelity of tradition is in addition strengthened by the characteristic preferences that show the author’s proximity to “Pure Art”. The author arrives at such conclusions: 1) the poem “To A.V. Pl va” declares commitment to the ideas of the late-romantic school; 2) images of the miniature are created by the triad “outlook - creativity - a human ideal”; 3) the semantic dominant of the message is conviction in the value of belief for an orthodox person, and for an artist - in art, inspired by spiritual beauty; 4) the religious component of attitude of the lyrical subject interacts with a wide literary background and makes opposition to «unromantic» options of a world outlook and everyday philosophy of life.

Kikhney L.G., Kruglova T.S.

Abstract

The article reveals the specifics of the lyrical dialogue of Marina Tsvetaeva with Pushkin. It is hypothesized that addressee factor becomes the organizing factor of artistic consciousness in poetic communication of Tsvetaeva. Marina Tsvetaeva debunks ideological myth about Pushkin and offers her own mythical image of the poet, the main features of which are freedom and “vitality”. The authors prove that in her interpretation of the genius Tsvetaeva closely follows the Pushkin’s concept of the poet, i.e. while creating her myth about Pushkin Tsvetaeva based on the myth of the poet created by Pushkin, which included a “spontaneous vitality”. This communication strategy chosen by Marina Tsvetaeva determines the specificity of genre addressed to Pushkin’s poems. And Pushkin becomes the “providential” (implicit) addressee and the Tsvetaeva’s contemporaries who are doing an icon of Pushkin become the explicit addressee.

Shervashidze V.V.

Abstract

The article is related to the general characteristics and the differences between “magic idealism” of Novalis and “magic reality” of Hesse. Typological community is determined by the concept of world’s subjectivity in their novels. But the distinction of their methods created two different esoteric models. In Hesse’s novels this model is determined by the synthesis of contrasts. In a contrary, in Novalis novels the disharmony of the world is decided. Despite the typological similarity of the principle of subjectivization, “magical idealism” of NOVALIS and “magical reality” by Hermann Hesse represent different models of the world. The synthesis of the psychoanalytic model of the inner life, the philosophy of Buddhism has created a unique in the European novel of the 20th century model of a world governed by law of equilibrium. Hesse’s novels illuminated Buddhist idea of eternal renewal, of eternal spiritual growth and consciousness.
