The article presents an analysis of the poem of F.I. Tyutchev with the attraction of evangelical texts, works of the Russian religious philosophers, and such poets as A.S. Pushkin, VA. Zhukovsky, A.A. Fet, A.A. Maykov and F.I. Tyutchev himself. The stress is laid on the ideological position of the lyrical subject and features of figurative thinking that allow specifying a question of a place of the poet in the literary movement of the 2nd half of the XIXth century. Pl va” declares commitment to the ideas of the late-romantic school; 2) images of the miniature are created by the triad “outlook - creativity - a human ideal”; 3) the semantic dominant of the message is conviction in the value of belief for an orthodox person, and for an artist - in art, inspired by spiritual beauty; 4) the religious component of attitude of the lyrical subject interacts with a wide literary background and makes opposition to «unromantic» options of a world outlook and everyday philosophy of life.
