Abstract
The article presents an analysis of the main Russian modern poetry directions. The author explores the state of the poetic environment at the turn of the XXth and XXIst centuries and estimates the most significant changes in the poetics of the period. Conclusion is giving about the collapse of corporate connections between writers-contemporaries, and the absence of clearly expressed poetry schools and groups. The processes that originated decades ago explain the fact of the collapse.We substantiate thehypothesis that dialogical relations with classic precursors particularly of the early XX century enrich modern poetry. Sound examples of such dialogue shown in the aspect of intertextuality. The author considers to intertextuality promote the self-expression ofmodern poets and solving many of their creative tasks.The author’s reasoning and conclusions are based on accessing dozens of names famous and little- known poets, on many analytical publications in recent
