Abstract

The Bulgarian National System was set up in 2003 with the purpose of raising quality of teaching Russian as foreign language. Presently the National system includes 45 educational institutions (39 secondary schools and 6 institutions of higher learning/universities). These institutions are located on the territory of all administrative districts of Bulgaria and are united into an effectively operating system. The base school are acting as information and methodological centers supporting Russian language study at national level.
