Abstract
The paper examines various approaches to the problem of text analysis in Russian linguistic tradition, paying special attention to the mechanisms of text perception. The author focuses on Russian folklore, which as a mirror reflects national culture and discusses practical tasks of teaching its comprehension in the process of learning Russian as a foreign language.
