ON THE INFLUENCE OF RUSSIAN TERMINOLOGICAL SYSTEMS ON UKRANIAN TECHNICAL TERMINOLOGY IN THE SOVIET PERIOD

Abstract

The article analyzes influence of Russian terminological systems on Ukrainian technical terminology at early stages of its development. The paper also contains the classification of ways used for generating new terms. The given classification clearly illustrates the fact that in the Soviet period most «new-born» Ukrainian technical terms were partly or completely borrowed from Russian terminological systems
