The main approaches to the minimization of vocabulary in Russian and European learning lexicography

Abstract

The article examines the main differences in the approaches of Russian and European specialists to the principles of selection of words, to definition of a volume of a lexical minimum and sources for its composing. The possibilities of using text corpora for demonstration of different aspects of word usage are also discussed.
