“Breeding Words”: Aesthetic Contemplation
Abstract
The author of the article strives to realize inner (semiotic) proof of the “pleonasm” which used to characterize special manner and method of narration that was called “breeding words” (pleteniye sloves) and that appeared in the angiographic literature of the end of the XIV century.

Semiotics of Conflict in F. Sologub's Novel “Small Demon”
Abstract
The article discusses the semiotics of a characterological conflict. The system of alter-idem is shown at several novelistic levels. Firstly, the semiotic reflection of the text of F. Sologub is directed on a reproduction of a cultural code. Secondly, between characters of the novel difficult connection of an attraction of pushing away and pair interaction are established that all-in-all supports the difficult ideological concept of the novel. On the whole, the structure of the system of images realizes the mythological principle of a syncretism which is cornerstone of poetics of the novel.

Mental Formulae in the Formation of Linguistic Personality of Ch. Aitmatov
Abstract
The article is devoted to pragmalinguistic analysis of author’s sayings, mental formulae of Chingiz Aitmatov. Ch. Aitmatov’s mental formulae have been considered in terms of axiological significance exposing author’s philosophical reflections, his world view. In course analyzing the role and place of mental formulae while forming Aitmatov’s idiostyle, an attempt to research author’s sayings through the prism of linguistic personality of the writer is undertaken. There is given a description of proverbial organization of mental formulae, which realizes itself in the form of aphorisms, maxims, sentential.

Axiological Status of the English Gender Picture of the World (on the material of paremiology)
Abstract
The аrticle is dedicated to the analysis of masculine and feminine paremias in the English language. The axiological features of the concepts “man” and “woman”, which reflect the gender stereotypes prevailing in the British culture, cognitive characteristics and axiological bases of this conceptual opposition “man - woman” are analyzed.

Translation: Frame as a Unit of Thought and a Unit of Communication
Abstract
The peculiarity of this article is the new realizing of a unit of translation concept in the field of translating and interpreting activity. There is an attempt to answer the question: what is to be considered as a unit of translation in general and in the linguistic reason in particular? We introduce our views on the balance between a unit of a thought and a unit of translation when we use the technology of the stereotype interaction. For a translator a unit of a thought as a portion of realized information might be a unit for translation. So, we conclude: a frame of knowledge might be a unit of a thought and a unit of translation simultaneously and consequently.

Eponyms in the Christian Orthodox Terminology
Abstract
The article is dealing with such an aspect of religious discourse as the Cristian Orthodox terminology. It treats eponyms, derived from personal names (anthroponyms), which make up an integral part of confessional terminology. The research was carried out on the case of Complete Dictionary of Church-Slavonic, published in 1993. The question or the precedent religious discourse is being concerned as well.

Towards the Problem of Derivation Modelling (a case study of prefixal verbs in Modern German)
Abstract
The article recaps the attempts to describe some word-formation elements, the verbal prefixes and semi-prefixes both of them of frequent use in languages, especially in modern German. From this perspective, the verbal prefixes in German, separable and inseparable, derived from noun and verbal stems are retaining much of the original meaning of the initial form. The relevance in the observation of semi-prefixes is revealed in their dual nature, i. e. their similarities with prefixes and the features they share with the respective adverbs and prepositions (from synchronic point of view).

Colour Terms as Culture Codes. Colour Terms Corpora in Russian, English and French
Abstract
The article treats the problem of lexical corpus analysis of colour terms in Russian, English and French in connection with the topic of cultural codes. The multidimensional nature of colour terms as elements of the lexical system is demonstrated with the fact that they represent special microsystems which are valuable to studies of intrasystem connections in the lexical sphere of the language, as well as studies of culture and history.

Lexico-semantic Field of American Youth Slang
Abstract
The article is devoted to the description of lexico-semantic fields of the youth American slang, which were identified on the basis of analyzing screen-scripts of modern American film for the young. Methods of research: critical analysis of the topic literature, search for slangizms, in the screen-scripts, classification of slangizms into corresponding lexico-semantic fields, groups, thematic groups, cognitive classes, as well as considering their semantics and lexicographic features.

The article compares the influence of the communicative pragmatic context on the selection of morphological categories of tense and aspect of performative predicates in the realization of comissive speech acts in Russian, English and German. The focus is on the contradictory character of the interacting inclusive momentary present tense and a whole completed speech act ending with the locutionary act.
