In article the factors influencing adaptation of foreign students in the Russian high schools, causing psychological difficulties, and also changes in psychological shape foreign students in the course of their adaptation in the Russian high schools are considered concept of «adaptation» in biological and social sciences, in ethnic psychology, scientifically-practical recommendations are made.

In article it is considered the essence of a disputed psychological distance in a context of intercultural interaction. The basic stages of the conflict taking into account dynamically varying distance are opened. The major ways and technologies of the permission of intercultural conflicts are presented.

In the article students' adaptation to the professional activity is considered as an important aspect of adaptation to high school learning. The specificity of correlation ties of the basic professionally important qualities of practical psychologists of first years - students and of master - students are analyzed.

The article describes ethnospecific characteristics of coping of students from Latin America and China in different periods of adaptation to the conditions of new sociocultural environment.

The article is devoted to the study of confidence and sociability in the system of personal determinants of development and sustainability of the adaptation process. Based on the system-functional approach to the study the properties of the identity and individuality the specifics of correlation structures of confidence and sociability with indicators of adaptation of students from different groups.

The Article is dedicated to analysis result, got in the course of experimental study of the particularities self-realization of students with different level social-psychological adaptation.

In work attempt to present tolerance as one of key mechanisms of mutual adaptation of subjects in the polycultural educational environment and as a condition of successful adaptation of the person to new conditions is undertaken; various modern approaches to tolerance studying reveal and analyzed; vectoring-possible ways of the further scientific researches to an investigated problem field are offered.

In the article are analyzed the manifestations of spirituality: tolerance and empathy, which are the basis for creating friendly atmosphere for adaptation of foreign students. Also are investigated their correlations, gender differences and differences between students of natural-science and humanitarian direction.
