Dictionary as an Instrument of Ideology: Anarchism in the Context of Lexicographic Publications of the Soviet Period
Abstract
The paper considers the analysis of political lexicon in the dictionaries of the Soviet period. The author shows that the lexicographic treatment of the words “anarchism” and “power” isn’t neutral, it is caused by the hidden ideology, real political opposition of marxism and anarchism after 1917.

Colour Terms as Structurally Organized, Historically Developing Components of the Cultural Code (the case-study of political symbolism)
Abstract
The article deals the with fixation of cognitive and cultural information in the linguistic sign of color terms, the problem of cultural codes as a type of cultural memory. It also provides some research on the phenomenon of color in political symbols that reflects national stereotypes and demonstrates changes in the mass consciousness.

Nonce-Wors as Bearers of Denotative and Pragmatic Meanings
Abstract
The paper deals with the problem of nonce-word meaning. Nonce-word is analyzed as a semiotic unit which possesses significant, denotative and pragmatic meaning. The correlation between different meanings is considered. The particular attention is devoted to denotative and connotative content of nonce-words: we research the causes of pragmatic information in unusual word, grammatical and semantic manners of its actualization and the interaction between denotative and connotative meaning of the word.

On Features of Russian Particles Representation in the English Literary Text (the case-study of Vladimir Nabokov’s “The Luzhin Defense” novel)
Abstract
The article is devoted to the research of the rendition characteristics for the Russian particles вот ( vot ) and же ( zhe ) in English by the author-translator (Vladimir Nabokov). The study of particles in the Russian text and their representation in the English version confirms the researchers’ findings on particles accentuating function in the text and thus leads to the conclusion on the possibility for some other functions of the particles to be detected in the languages of different structures.

Abstract
To render the cultural identity and preserve of unique color scheme of the foreign language has always been of keen interest for translators. From this point of view, the analysis of Ch. Aitmatov’s short stories and novels about the life in Kyrgyzstan translation into English is of great importance for the theory and practice of translation. As the author wrote equally well both in Russian and Kyrgyz, his works are deeply permeated with bilingual culture.
