The article is devoted to the early Middle English manuscript «Proverbs of Alfred». The linguistic analysis shows in what way the English language diachronic development occurred. To answer the question «When did the Middle English begin?» we have to analyze the structural changes of the language.

The article presents press-release in the context of its communicative characteristics (with examples in Spanish). The article is devoted to the psychological grounds of e-learning. Information technologies influence the philosophy of teaching a foreign language and the choice of materials.
