National and cultural specifity of New Zealand English toponyms
Abstract
The article is devoted to the study and analysis of place names in New Zealand. The extralinguistic factors had determined a specific and unique New Zealand toponymy. The article draws attention to the formation of New Zealand toponymic system related to J. Cook’s and A. Tasman’s research activities. The author describes in detail the geographical names of the Maori language which contain a complex of cultural, historical and mythological information about the Maori nation.

Historical and etymological aspects of phraseological units in modern Spanish
Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of the origin of fixed combinations and collocations forming phraseological fund of modern Spanish. To identificate the national language units some examples of phraseological units are illustrated with historical and etymological interpretation along with the developed culturological comments on them. In the work the situation is illustrated through the analysis of the historical and etymological references which are available in the Spanish phraseological dictionaries and literature of the modern period.

Comparative analysis of model categories of English and Russion verbs
Abstract
The article is dedicated to comparative analysis of modal categories of English and Russian verbs. The current interest of the article is that English and Russian model verbs are described within the frames of comparative analysis. English and Russian modal verbs are characterized from grammatical point of view as well as from semantic aspect. Modal verbs translation issues are treated in the article; the ways of their solving are offered.

The article provides a brief overview of the current scientific literature on the Korean phonetics. The author of this article considers the problem of classification of Korean consonants, compares the different points of view of researchers at the problem of the existence of voiced and unvoiced consonants in the Korean language.

Discursive strategies for theming the communicative space of advertising message
Abstract
The paper reports on application of epochs’ cultural codes as discursive strategies for theming the communicative space of advertising message and rheming goods (services) provided against the background. National-cultural signs in multimodel advertising discourse are subject to semiotic coding rules and are part of the metadiscursive mechanism enabling to create a persuasive text within an information shell.

Usage of verbal manipulation’s means for realization of persuasive strategy in the Spanish political parties’ program texts
Abstract
Such kind of psychological influence as verbal manipulation is used in order to modify people’s intentions and, consequently, to make them do something they initially were not going to do. The efficiency of the verbal manipulation depends on the width of variety of linguistic means of influence used by the manipulator and on his ability to make the most of using them.

Abstract
The article deals with the analysis of the macro- and microstructures of the Russian-Spanish conversation guides from the perspective of the Mexican national variation of the Spanish language, to the study of the lexical-semantic divergence when compared to the Spanish national variation, as well as to the detection of the non-corresponding cases in the intralinguistic lexical equivalencies upon translating to the Spanish language.
