Abstract

Full Text

The first issue of 2020 turned out to be very diverse. It contains all our regular columns. You can get acquainted with the results of psycholinguistic and associative experiments both in lexicography and beyond; to understand especially the translation strategies of a literary text; read about literary approaches to the analysis of translingual literary work. Professor L. Ekshembeeva shares her observations on bilingualism, which she called her “lyrical fantasies”. However, this does not diminish their scientific value. Particular attention should be paid to the section “Language contacts”, in which the authors discuss globalization and its impact on the modern world - positive and negative. All our materials are addressed to the speaking man, who is at the crossroads of languages and cultures. This is a very complex problem, and we strive to contribute to its solution.
