Abstract
The article is written in memory of Sergey Yurievich Preobrahzhenskij (16.06.1955-20.06.2017), philologist and poet, Assistant Professor of the Chair of General and Russian linguistics at PFUR, whose life had been connected with the University for 45 years. The article includes some facts of his biography, tackles upon the sphere of his scientific interests. Besides, an attempt is made to give a brief description of his poetic work. Several poems by S.Preobrazhenskij are appended.
