SELECTION OF WORKING VARIABLES OF INNOVATION MODELS ON THE EXAMPLE OF SAMARA REGION
Abstract
The article presents the structuring of 80 working variables characterizing the innovative, socio-economic, ecological and economic potential of the Samara region for the period from 2000 to 2015. Two indicators are considered as resulting variables in this work: the relative volume of innovative goods (%) and the volume of innovative goods, works, services (mln.RUB). On the basis of correlation analysis, developed methodology and software for variable selection regression models of innovation, which ensures the absence of multicollinearity variables. The developed tool allows automatic control of the relationship between the working variables (from 0.7 to 0.95), to obtain a different set of selected working variables.
ANALYSIS OF INITIATIVES OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION ON ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Abstract
In article documents, regulations and various agreements which are accepted by the Russian Federation at the present stage in connection with negative anthropogenic impact on the global environment are investigated. Special attention is paid to work of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Russian Federation, the State program "Environmental protection" for 2012-2020, to the intergovernmental and non-governmental ecological organizations, expenses according to programs of the World Wide Fund for Nature in Russia are considered. Also in article questions of legal regulation of the nature protection relations within regional integration merging of EEU and a possibility of application/use of foreign experience, in particular by the EU and the USA, in questions of environmental protection are considered.
THE CONCEPT OF DEMAND RESPONSE IN ELECTRISITY MARKETS
Abstract
This article discusses the participation of consumers in the regulation of the electricity market demand Management can not only reduce the cost of electricity needs, but also contributes to its cheaper in the wholesale market, improve the reliability of the power system, reduce the need for additional generating capacity and, accordingly, reduce the level of carbon dioxide emissions. Interest in demand management has now grown significantly around the world, especially in countries emerging from the energy crisis and seeking to meet energy demand through efficient market mechanisms rather than through the construction of expensive generating capacity and grid infrastructure.
ALTERNATIVE ELECTRIC POWER INDUSTRY IN THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS: SHIFTS IN TIME AND SPACE
Abstract
The article is devoted to the features of spatial development of alternative electric power industry in Belarus. The dynamics and structure of the installed capacity of electricity generation plants, using alternative energy sources, on three territorial levels (country, region, district) were analyzed. The trends of concentration process for each of the sub-sectors of alternative power industry on the basis of the calculation of the Herfindahl-Hirschman Index were identified. Transformation in the location of alternative energy sources across Belarus has been determined. There was drawn the conclusion about the strengthening of there source factor rolein the location of alternative electrical installations in the country.
THE LATEST SPATIAL SHIFTS IN WORLD OIL AND GAS COMPLEX AND GLOBAL PRODUCTION STRUCTURES OF THE LARGEST COMPANIES (ON THE EXAMPLE OF CHEVRON)
Abstract
Article is devoted to comparison of spatial shifts in a global oil and gas complex and the Chevron company from 2000 for 2016. A quantitative assessment of spatial shifts in world oil production, gas production and oil processing and also their values for the studied company is given. On the basis of the received values are revealed as the general trends in development of the industries in general and the large company, in them working, and characteristic discrepancies to which the explanation is offered.
FEATURES OF DOMESTIC MULTINATIONAL CORPORATIONS ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE LUKOIL COMPANY
Abstract
Article is devoted to the analysis of features of the Russian multinational corporations in the conditions of globalization. As a research object the author chose activity of the Lukoil company. During the analysis the oil industry of the Russian Federation as one of strategically important and profitable spheres is considered. The Lukoil company is one of leaders in this industry: successfully developing in the national market, she also creates the worthy competition at the international level. SWOT analysis of Lukoil during which are revealed strong and weaknesses is given in article and also threats and the further prospects of development of the company are estimated.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY OF BUSINESS: WORLD EXPERIENCE AND RUSSIAN PRACTICE
Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of development of social programs of foreign companies and corporate social responsibility of Russian oil and gas companies. The social policy of these organizations was assessed on the basis of the data of the organization for economic cooperation and development, reports on sustainable development for 2014-2016, the input of which took into account the volume of financing of social projects, their main directions, individual projects. It was analyzed documents at the international and national levels, which was regulating the social responsibility of business. The factors which was constrained development of corporate social responsibility with reference to the Russian companies are defined.
THE DETERMINATION OF ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL EFFECT OF INTRODUCTION OF A HIGH-SPEED TRAFFIC IN THE TERRITORY OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION
Abstract
The article studies the development projects of high-speed communication in Russia, lists the main development vectors, considers the main high-speed highway. The author analyzes the economic and social effects of the introduction of high-speed rail (HSR). The economic effects of the HSR implementation include the change in the gross regional product, investments in the project and regions, the creation of the infrastructure of the HSR, the indicators of domestic and international tourism. The social effects of the introduction of the HSR include improving the level and quality of life of the population, the outflow of population from megacities to the regions, the modernization of transport infrastructure, the renovation of the housing stock, and the new impetus for the growth of the labor market.
ANALYSIS OF SHADOW BANKING TURNOVER IN GERMANY AND GREAT BRITAIN
Abstract
In the article, the author examines the current situation associated with shadow banking for the example of Germany and the United Kingdom. The work provides timely analytical information on the shadow turnover in these countries. The author also gives a position on the analyzed indicators, which allow to determine the presence of shadow turnover at the level of any state. The author's aim is to study the shadow banking turnover that exists in Germany and Great Britain today, and also to find solutions to the elimination of such a turnover.
SOUTH KOREAN PHENOMENON “HALLYU” AND ITS SPREAD
Abstract
The article is devoted to the phenomenon of “Hallyu”, which was born in South Korea. The author draws our attention to the subspecies of the phenomenon, its role in the Korea’s economy and culture’s spread in the world. Special attention is paid to the connection between South Korea’s culture and Russia. Based on the analysis of the musical component of culture, directly concert activities, identified the main consumers of the Korean wave.
MODERN REGIONAL FEATURES OF PHARMACEUTICAL PRODUCTION IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION
Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of modern features of the location of pharmaceutical enterprises in the regions and cities of Russia. The main features and geographical factors of development of the modern pharmaceutical industry of the country are characterized. Groups of regions of the Russian Federation on concentration of profitable enterprises of the industry and its main centers are defined. An estimation of the change in the share of 20 leading enterprises in the gross profit of all profitable enterprises in the period 2015-2016 and their regional characteristics was carried out.
TERRITORIAL INEQUALITY IN AZERBAIJAN
Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the problems of spatial development and inequality on the example of the Republic of Azerbaijan. This problem is important in the economic system of countries dependent on oil exports, where the main resources are directed to the development of the economic center and to a much lesser extent are directed to other regions. In the framework of this article, an analysis of disproportions in the development of regions and cities of the country using the Lorenz and Zipf curves was made, and the presence of a clear imbalance in the economic development of the country towards the capital city of Baku was confirmed.
REGIONAL ECONOMIC INTEGRATION IN AFRICA AND ITS INFLUENCE ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF ROAD TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE
Abstract
The cost of doing business in the East African Community (EAC) is very high compared to other regional blocks. The poor state of the regional transport infrastructure and the inefficient combination of modes of transport make a significant contribution to this unfavorable fact. The purpose of this article is to review the development of transport infrastructure in the EAC, especially road transport. It covered the main general transport plans in the region and the activities needed to create an integrated, efficient regional transport infrastructure network. Inland waterways are underutilized and need to be developed to enhance the contribution to transport and logistics in the region. In all cases, it is necessary to strengthen safety standards, especially road and air transport.
REGIONAL FEATURES OF REPRODUCTIVE PROCESSES IN THE WEST-KAZAKHSTAN REGION
Abstract
With independence, a new stage of development of the Republic of Kazakhstan begins. The West Kazakhstan region did not stay aloof from these ambiguous and complex processes. Socio-demographic processes in the region have undergone changes-the number of settlements has decreased, and the components of the natural movement of the population have changed. For the period from 1991 to 2016 indicators of natural growth of population in the region decreased from 13.7 ‰ to 11.7 ‰. This article examines the main trends in the reproduction of the population of the West Kazakhstan region over the past 20 years in terms of districts. Changes in fertility, mortality and natural growth of population in 12 districts and in Uralsk for 1991-2016 were analyzed.
INNOVATIONS AS FACTOR OF DEVELOPMENT OF COMPETITIVE PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY OF CORPORATIONS
Abstract
In the modern world of globalization the pharmaceutical market is dynamically developing sector of world economy. The pharmaceutical industry is one of the most difficult directions of business around the world. High rates of production and profit are characteristic of this branch. The relevance of a research is caused by need of a research of the pharmaceutical companies for improvement of welfare of the population. Innovative activity of the companies, high costs of research and development, aspiration of the large companies on interaction with partners and formation of structures of cluster type form a basis for competitive activity in the world market of pharmaceutical production.
