The dynamics and structure of the installed capacity of electricity generation plants, using alternative energy sources, on three territorial levels (country, region, district) were analyzed. The trends of concentration process for each of the sub-sectors of alternative power industry on the basis of the calculation of the Herfindahl-Hirschman Index were identified. Transformation in the location of alternative energy sources across Belarus has been determined. There was drawn the conclusion about the strengthening of there source factor rolein the location of alternative electrical installations in the country.</italic></p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p><italic>Статья посвящена особенностям пространственного развития альтернативной электроэнергетики Беларуси. Анализируется динамика и структура установленных мощностей электрогенерирующих установок, использующих альтернативные источники энергии, на трех территориальных уровнях (страна, области, районы). Выявлены тенденции процесса концентрации для каждой из подотраслей альтернативной электроэнергетики на основе расчета индекса Херфиндаля – Хиршмана. Определены трансформации в размещении альтернативных источников энергии по территории Беларуси.
