Abstract

The article helms the reader to the results of the conceptual analysis of the social role of culture in the context of the transformation of contemporary Russian society and the emerging prospects for social and cultural development of the country on the basis of the available cultural opportunities. Theoretical and methodological conceptualization of the ongoing processes of social development is carried out within the conceprual framework of culturocentrism with major emphasis being laid on culture as the universal basis for social development.
