The Perception of F.D.E. Schleiermacher’s Ideas in Russian Philosophy in the Late XIX — the Beginning of XX centuries. Second Article
Abstract
The evolution of F.D.E. Schleiermacher’s religious philosophy revealed the development of approaches not just in methodology, but in its perception by Russian philosophers and society starting from the second half of the XIX century. It caused critics as a philosophy of reductionalism. At the turn of XIX—XX centuries F.D.E. Schleiermacher is treated as a classic, and though his views aren’t reflecting the questions of the day, they are making up as one of the historic stages of human knowledge evolution.

On Traditions and the Formation of Linguistic Theory in Arabic Language Studies
Abstract
The formation of linguistic tradition in the Arabic language theory is stipulated by the interest to vocabulary of the Arabic language and its dialects, the description of grammatical parameters of a word, and classifications, which were developed in the writings of the greatest scientists starting from IX—XI centuries.

Systemic Relations in the History of the Novgorod Metrological Lexicon (according to Written Monuments of the XI—XVII Centuries)
Abstract
In the article the author observes two metrological systems marked as in published written sources as in fast written sources of the XVI—XVII centuries kept in the Central State Archive of the Old Acts (Moscow). Its main task work is the description of the metrological denominations, the way they fulfilled their functions during the observed period of time and the way they were used in historic texts. The author confirms documentary the existence of a bass system in the Novgorod monuments of the specified period, except for the korobia system well-known in scientific literature.

Russia’s Portrayal in the Western Media: Culturological Context (based on British and American Newspaper Material)
Abstract
The article highlights the influence of sociocultural mentality of English speakers on their perception of Russian socio-political and cultural environment. The author demonstrates that national-cultural specificity can be evident both at the level of organizing and structuring information and at the level of culturological context. The author analyzes the newspaper coverage of Russia in Great Britain and the USA and then comes to the conclusion that both countries can be viewed as one integral linguocultural socium when it comes to Russia’s portrayal.

Perfect Forms and Meanings of the English Verb
Abstract
The semantics of Perfect verb forms represents a complex of interacting and interdependent meanings having in the core those of antecedence, completeness and cohesiveness; they are mainly motivated by exterior factors such as: actualization of the moment of speech, speech situation on the whole, text and context as well as lexical meanings of the verbs and other words and constructions bearing the meaning of time or time limit.

Language Mechanisms to Express Comissive Speech Acts in English
Abstract
The article is an insight into linguistic features of performatives proceding from the analyses of Russian and English comissive speech acts. Language is understood as a means of a peculiar sort of actions carried out in the very process of pronouncing an utterance explicating a speech act. An analysis of key parameters of pragmatic communicative context is provided. These are essentials to provide a syncretic verbal act. Elements of comparative analysis are included.

In course of the analysis of the structural performance of the Protopope’s thought and the following intonation of phrase presentation, the author of the article reveals the way in which personal attitude overlaps the ontologic basis starting from the theological initial part of the hagiography, far earlier that the Protopope gets down to his life description.
