Abstract

This article briefly describes the history of the study of the kinship terms by blood in Chinese language. Kinship terms are the basic unit in spoken communication. Even in modern written communication kinship terms have been widely used, but Russian readers can not fully understand all the terms, because the Chinese and Russian readers have different cultural background knowledge. This study is useful for analyze of spoken and written communication, compiling dictionaries, as well as for the teaching of the Russian language.
