Abstract

Aim: a) to develop the method for surface modification of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) by applying a nanostructured metallic or ceramic coating, b) to study the possibility of using this obtained structures with different coatings as an experimental model for analysis of the fine interactions in the contact implant-tissue zone. The study demonstrates that the surface modification of PTFE by magnetron sputtering of nano-Ti and Ti-Ca-P-C-O-N leads to increased integration potential of materials. Data obtained indicate that the designed constructions can be successfully used as an experimental model for studying the interactions of implant - tissue interface elements of periimplant area.

Biological factors of alcoholic liver disease progression

Ogurtsov P.P., Polikarpova T.S., Garmash I.V., Arisheva O.S., Guschin А.E., Tarasenko E.V., Myandina G.I.

Abstract

Aim: to detect the genetic factors predisposing alcoholic liver lesion. The main candidate genes of high risk are isoforms of adh and aldh genes which are responsible for different level of alcohol metabolism and oxidation of ethanol and acetaldehyde. Our results demonstrated that allelic variant adh2-2 is observed more frequently in patients with alcoholic liver damage than in population (16% vs. 7%; p < 0,05). The polymorphism t174m of angiotensinogen gene AGT was investigated as one of the risk factor of alcoholic liver lesion. The allelic variant m of angiotensinogen gene AGT is more frequent (15.8%) in patients with alcoholic liver cirrhosis and alcohol abuse without cirrhosis (n = 98) than in population (6.7%, n = 52; p = 0.04). The highest frequency of allele m was in a group with alcoholic liver cirrhosis (17.3%; p = 0.058). Our data provides the evidence that polymorphism t174m of AGT gene does not influence the progression (clinical picture) of alcoholic liver cirrhosis, except the level of GGT, which is increased in patients with homozygous genotype tt.

Microbic spectrum of the vagina and myomatous knot at sick of the hysteromyoma

Rymashevsky A.Н., Nikitin E.S., Svirava E.G., Samsonov A.E., Naboka J.L.

Abstract

22 patients of genital age with a hysteromyoma, not receiving antibacterial and a hormonetherapy in the preoperative period are surveyed. To the given group of patients operation with organ conservation is executed. To all patients bacteriological research of a vaginal microflora and a biological material taken of myomatous knots is conducted. At all women with a hysteromyoma were observed dysbiotic disturbances of a microflora of a vagina, in the form of concentration depression of lacto- bacterius and bifidobacteria and сoncentration augmentation of peptokokkus. At 9% of patients in myomatous knot growth of microorganisms is not taped. In 91% of cases myomatous knots are inseminated not clostridial anaerobic bacteria. Among the microorganisms allocated in myomatous knot the most part have made peptostreptokokkus. The conclusion. By results of the received data it is possible to assume that hysteromyoma presence is bound to dissemination not clostridial anaerobic bacteria.

Registers of hip arthroplasty

Zagorodniy N.V., Lomtatidze E.S., Batygin G.G.

Abstract

At the end of the XX and at the beginning of the XXI century the number of hip joint arthroplasty gained more than 1 million per year only for low friction hip prosthesis. To analyze all the structure of hip arthroplasty complications and to check revision arthroplasty the register of hip arthroplasty was introduced in Europe. In 1979 the Swedish scientist Peter Herberts initiated the first register in history of hip and knee arthroplasty. The arthroplasty register of scientific institute of travmatology and orthopedics of R.R. Vreden works as a local program of documentation and analysis. To create the national register of hip arthroplasty in Russia, financial, administrative and technological issues needs to get sufficient respect.

Alternative treatment of over-erupted teeth

Kaplan M.Z., Romanоva O.V., Belorus S.A., Prokopyev V.V.

Abstract

Teeth not exposed to chewing forces have a capacity for physiological tooth movement or tooth migration. The erupting tooth will erupt until it reaches occlusal contact and the final positioning of the teeth depends on the equilibrium between forces e. g. forces from the occlusion, tongue, lips and eruption. Therefore, overeruption is accommodation process. There are several methods to treat the disease: the intrusion by means of orthodontics appliances, selective alveolar corticotomy for intruding overerupted teeth, prosthetic crowns, tooth extraction. Surgical or orthodontic therapy may be inconvenient and they are not always as effective as desired. Available prosthetic options for restoration of occlusion include selective root canal treatment with invasive tooth reduction to reconstruct the occlusal plane and make enough places for porcelain fused to metal crowns. The alternative treatment was proposed by department of prosthodontics of Peoples' Friendship University of Russia. The only destroyed tooth is restored by ceramo-composite pinlay, thus making no changes in occlusion line. The indications for this method: orthodontic therapy is not effective, no blockage of jaw motions, no pathologic changes in temporomandibular joints.

Аmino acids in serum and cerebrospinal fluid of children with Kanner syndrome

Gorina A.S., Kolesnichenko L.S., Mikhnovich V.I.

Abstract

Levels of amino acids in serum and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) were measured in children with Kanner syndrome. Serum aspartate, taurine and glutamine were increased whereas β-alanine, methionine and glycine decreased. In CSF, aspartate, glutamine, GABA, taurine and arginine increased and methionine decreased. Majority of changes in serum were parallel to the changes in CSF, but the changes in serum were more pronounced than in CSF. Together with the deficit in methionine, β-alanine and glycine, obtained data suggest intensification of transportation of glutamine, aspartate and taurine into CSF through blood-brain barrier. Changes in the concentrations of neurotransmitter amino acids (aspartate, taurine) may indicate an imbalance of excitatory and inhibitory mediators in brain.

Abstract

As time goes by, significant individuality of antihypertensive drugs effectiveness may be clarified by pharmacogenetic research methods. Pronounced variability of pharmacological response may be caused by mononucleotide substitutions in genes, coding biotransformation enzymes. The present work is dedicated to investigation of allelic variants of functionally defective genes CYP2D6 and CYP2C9 in patients with arterial hypertension. Possible relation of distinct associations of polymorphous gene variants with difference in individual sensitivity to beta-blockers and angiotensin receptor blockers was shown.
