Abstract
From Information Society to Knowledge Societies
Abstract
International organizations and especially UNESCO are taking an increasingly active part in the analysis of the contemporary society making it aim to elaborate ideology as well as practical advice for social institutions' development. The subject matter of the study in the publication is the World Report «Towards Knowledge Societies» where a comprehensive analysis of social and humanitarian development of mankind at the turn of millennium is provided and the concept of «sustainable development» of the world community in the XXI century is elaborated. The concept is based on the idea of indispensability of transition from the «information society» fraught with a negative and dangerous tendency to social disintegration both at national and international levels to «knowledge societies» focusing on moral and ethical values as well as cognitive competencies.
The Peculiar Features of the New Religious Movements' Missionary Work in Contemporary Kazakhstan
Abstract
Nowadays foreign Protestant churches from the USA, South Korea, Sweden, France and Poland are carrying out missionary activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The crucial components of foreign religious missions are the establishment of the «missionary field», foreign sponsorship and the growth of religious communities. The author helms the reader to the analysis of social groups within the range of missionaries' sphere of influence as well as the channels and schemes of missionary work. The article is based on statistical data as well as the results of the sociological research conducted by the author.
Stereotypes in the Framework of Personality Traits Cultural Constructs
Abstract
The article focuses on the results of the investigation of Georgian people socio-cultural identity based on the analysis of personality cultural evaluation criteria in Georgian folklore. The approach involved enables the author to make inferences about historical stereotypes of Georgian culture.
On the Evolution of the conceptual framework of Culturologyin Russia
Abstract
The article is devoted to the evolution of the conceptual framework of cultural studies in Russia from philosophical categories implementation to «categories of culture» and subsequently to the study of «mentalities», «national and ethnic worldviews», «cultural concepts» and the sphere of concepts, cognitive characteristics of knowledge and world perception toward the affinity with cultural anthropology.
Management Specialists' Training Social Schemes: World Experience and Russian Specificity
Abstract
The article offers the analysis of the issues related to the social administration of professional management personnel training which have become particularly complicated over the past two decades. Social schemes, conditions and factors of management are shown to be closely interconnected with the characteristics of human capital as the basis for social, economic and cultural development of the contemporary society. World experience and Russian specificity in the sphere of human resource management specialists' training are analyzed.
