Points of innovation and economic growth: foreign and Russian experience
Abstract
The article presents the results of analysis of conditions and problems of development of the SKOLKOVO innovation center. The experience of innovation activity and functioning of innovation centers abroad on the example of Switzerland is considered. It is concluded that innovation centers like SKOLKOVO contribute not only to the development of science, but also to increasing employment, improving the competitiveness of the national and regional economy, ensuring the reduction of barriers to innovation. Thus, they serve as points of both innovative and economic growth of the country's regions.
The phenomenon of «hype» in corporate media projects on the materials of the corporate social network «Burger King Russia»
Abstract
The article discusses the existing approaches to the term "hype", considers its role in modern media practices of companies. The characteristic features and main tasks of the corporate social network as part of a major brand were identified using the example of "Burger king Russia", and also analyzed the methodology of "hype" inside the corporate social network (from the point of view of increasing the efficiency of interaction between employees of various departments, motivating their activities in the interests of development of the company).
Innovative infrastructure in Africa at the present stage
Abstract
Abstract. African countries have shown significant economic progress in recent years. Innovation is one of the key factors in its development. This paper assesses the features of the formation of innovative infrastructure in African countries and for the first time comprehensively examines all the components of this infrastructure, namely production and technology, information, consulting, financial, personnel, and sales. The conclusion is made about the strengths and weaknesses of modern innovative infrastructure in Africa, its role in the further sustainable development of the countries of the macroregion.
Competence approach to innovative susceptibility of professionals
Abstract
The relevance and need for specialist’s innovative susceptibility intensification becomes doubtless as far as it ensures their readiness to fulfil innovative solutions in a constantly changing social and business environment.
The main task of this article is to elaborate holistic view of innovative susceptibility as a crucial competence of modern professionals in management and development.
As a result of theoretical research the paper presents author's classification of the existing approaches to understanding innovative susceptibility and its components based on reviewing wide range of researches and publications.
The article suggests integrated group of professional competences providing ways to developing innovative susceptibility so that it corresponds to labour market demands. It relies on thorough analysis of professional standards and labour functions of managers.
Crowdsourcing as a new model of business organization
Abstract
The article is devoted to the consideration of the phenomenon of crowdsourcing, the essence of which is to attract human resources from outside to search for new ideas to solve both the problems that arise in enterprises and social problems. The author considers the importance of the human factor in the digital economy, the types of crowdsourcing and examples of its use, as well as the prospects for the development of crowdsourcing in Russia.
Geographical and commodity structure features of Brazil’s foreign trade
Abstract
The article examines the dynamics of the main economic indicators of Brazil's foreign trade at the end of the 20th century - the beginning of the 21st century: exports volume, imports volume, the foreign trade balance and foreign trade turnover. Brazil's role in the global market, its participation in regional integration processes and its involvement in the development of world trade and foreign trade relations are analyzed. In particular, the dynamics of the geographical and commodity structure of Brazil's foreign trade are analyzed. As a result, the main partners in Brazil's export and import, trends in the country's commodity structure have been identified.
Geographical and commodity structure features of Belgium's foreign trade
Abstract
The article presents the features of Belgium's foreign trade in 1995-2018. The dynamics of foreign trade indicators of Belgium (export volume, export volume, foreign trade turnover and foreign trade turnover) is analyzed. Regularities are revealed between the dynamics of the main indicators of foreign trade and world and regional events. The main foreign trade partners of Belgium are highlighted, the commodity structure of Belgium's exports and imports is analyzed.
Features of Mexico's geographical and commodity structure of foreign trade
Abstract
The article analyzes the dynamics of the main indicators of Mexico's foreign trade: the foreign trade balance, foreign trade turnover, the volume of exports and imports, also the regional and sectoral structure of the country. The main trading partners are identified and the features of the commodity structure of Mexico are analyzed. The authors also highlight the factors that influenced the decline in export volumes and the increase in imports, which affects the current economic situation in the country.
Problems of Finnish companies entering the Russian market and operating in Russia
Abstract
I In the article, the authors consider the cases of three Finnish concerns ("Fazer," "Fortum," "YIT") from various industries that have been successfully operating on the Russian market for a long time. The study reveals how companies managed to adapt to market conditions when entering it, and then form it in accordance with their business culture and establish themselves as leaders. The authors show how globalization and its consequences can affect the activities of companies. Separately, the article identifies sanctions and assesses their impact five years after the introduction. The results of the work also reflect the prospects for the further development of concerns in the Russian market.
Trends in the development of central cities in the states of the United States in 1980-2018
Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the main trends in the development of central US cities from 1980 to 2018. Dozens of the most populous and sparsely populated central cities of the country were identified and analyzed, as well as types of central cities in terms of population growth during the study period and accommodation features. Based on a comparative analysis of maps with different groups of central cities of the states of the country on changing the role in their state in 1980-2018 and the specific weight of the city in the state population, the main spatial trends of their development were studied and described. The main reasons that influenced the current identified processes occurring with the dynamics of the number of inhabitants in the central cities of the USA are described.
Socio-economic development typology of the states and union territories of India
Abstract
We have revealed territorial disproportions in the social and economic life of the population. We have created the typology by level of social and economic development. The statistics of the administrative divisions gross regional product was laid on the basis. The principal component method was used as key analysis method. We have highlighted factors of spatial development that determine the territorial differentiation of the socio-economic life of the population by states and union territories of India. We have accessed the functioning of the country's regions falling into different types of socio-economic development. We have substantiated domestic policy measures aimed at maintaining or changing the identified development trends of the administrative-territorial units of the Republic of India.
Regional features of the labor market and employment of the population of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Abstract
The article analyzes the quantitative and qualitative state of the labor resources of the country's regions, the dynamics of the sectoral, gender and educational structure of the employed population, reveals regional features of the labor market, identifies the leaders and outsiders by the main indicators of the labor market.
As a result of the research, a spatial database of indicators of the labor market of the Republic of Kazakhstan regions in dynamics for 2001-2019 was created. In the whole country and regions, there is an insignificant difference in indicators characterizing labor resources. Nevertheless, in the regional context, regions have been identified - leaders and outsiders. The main factor in the regional differentiation of the country's labor resources is the disproportion in the incomes of the regions. Thus, Almaty and Almaty region are the leaders in terms of employment.
Population dynamics of Tajikistan cities, 1989-2019
Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of trends in the population of cities in Tajikistan in the post-Soviet period. It analyzes the dynamics of the number of residents of the country's largest cities and based on the construction of Zipf curves, estimates the state of the urban settlement system for 1989-2019. The change in the ratio of 5 groups of cities in the country with different population over this period was determined and the features of their placement were revealed. The article describes the multi-vector growth of the number of cities in the Republic for the identified groups of cities, as well as the features of development and the main reasons for uneven changes in the number of inhabitants and distribution across the country.
