Abstract
In the article lexical indicators or so-called “time markers” in category of tenses of English and German languages are considered. Except the comparative description of grammatical categories in two presented languages, in the article examples of practical use of “markers” in lexical and grammatical aspects are also given. The main considered indicators for the compared closely related languages appear: adverbs, nouns with prepositions, verbs and some adjectives.
