Abstract

The article discusses the origin of the French phraseology in Africa. It provides an overview of the commonly spread French phraseology which strengthened in the variant of French in Africa. This article gives their semantic features that caused the transition of phraseological units of the French language of France in the category of phraseological Africanisms. The article can be used as the material for research in the field of phraseology and development issues of the African version of the French language.
