Imitation as Factor of Developing Higher Abilities in Children: Resource Approach

Abstract

The phenomenon of “imitation” in children is analyzed. The possibility of the use of imitation for development of higher abilities (mostly creative) in children is studied. Based on the resource approach, it is proposed to consider imitation as a factor that activates the hidden resources: creative, spiritual (moral value aspect), self-regulative in the early school years.
