The article presents a concise analysis of the evolution of the funeral ritual for the young people, in the Russian and Romanian Folklores. It involves a study of the Wife - Death image and motifs found in the Wedding - funeral Lamentations.

Plastic Opportunities of Great National Style of the Russian Literature (on a Material of the Novel Oblomov of I.A. Goncharov)
Abstract
Author of the article research a category of great national classical style. In the novel Oblomov of I.A. Goncharov the plastic opportunities of this style are investigated and revealed. They are connected with a figure of comparison being universal for the writer. This aspect is found out both at the level of composition (types: I - Another, today - yesterday, a person - nature, etc.), and at the level of art speech (there are more than 800 of these comparisons in the novel).

This article analyzes the ways of representation of Don Juan in N.S. Gumilyev's play Don Juan in Egypt, which is based upon the author's feelings, as well as his life experience, transformed by means of life-creation. Besides, this article covers Gumilyev's techniques of making his personal myth of a man-winner, a conqueror of women's hearts, a poet and an artist.

Media trends of sports journalism: experience of satellite television channel NTV-Plus Football
Abstract
Article is devoted studying of modern trends of sports journalism on an example of television channel NTV-Plus Football. It is shown that the sports television develops by the way of quantitative and qualitative change of a content, transformation of a television product in multimedia, unlimited access to media channels and introductions of interactive user services. The spectator audience is actively involved in manufacture of a television product, and the profession of the sports journalist becomes more and more multipurpose and responsible.

Comparative analysis of euphemistic headlines newspaper «The New York Times» and «The Moscow Times»: principles and results of the study (2008-2010 gg.)
Abstract
This article covers the results of the comparative research of euphemized headlines in two English language newspapers: The New York Times and The Moscow Times. The authors outline a number of thematic groups with the highest concentration of euphemisms, determine the rate of euphemized and non-euphemized headlines and provide a thorough analysis using multiple examples. The research is cross-cultural and is based on the latest practical material.
