Abstract
The article deals with the problems of relations between media and politics in Latin America. The media are the main source of information for the society, so their political significance is of a particular interest. The confrontation between the media and government in order to control the situation increases, the democracy concentrated in the media allows to form and manage the public opinion. The media are connected with the future of democracy in Latin America, because their power tends to replace military dictatorship that took place there thirty years ago. Big economic groups use the media and they decide what the agenda is, who has the voice and who's not.
