Abstract
The article discusses the features of existence of classical texts in modern literary space. By the example of the famous novel by I.A. Goncharov “Oblomov” addresses the issues of continuity in Russian literature, describe the mechanisms of the formation of a single text space, open to dialogue. As key put forward the concept of “code”, which is understood as above- textual unit, is used to create multiple associative fields in the literature, appealing to the original source. The peculiarities of aesthetics creativity of I.A. Goncharov were explored, revealed the inexhaustible potential of the classical text for the development of modern literature. Studied allusions to the novel by Goncharov in the works byL.N. Tolstoy, V. Nabokov, T. Tolstaya, etc.
