Abstract

The article deals with the attempt to define the role and to study the peculiarities of functioning of English language in higher education. Policy in relation to the English language in higher education was defined. The main causes of promotion of English language through the system of higher education. Professional training of future teachers should be based on the formation of their communicative competence as a key. The analysis of preparation of future teachers to professional work leads to understanding of the special relevance and importance of the problem of formation of communicative competence of future teachers in the process of learning English.
