TO THE QUESTION ON THE CURRENT STATE AND DEVELOPMENT OF INNOVATIVE ECONOMY IN RUSSIA

Abstract

Article deals with tendencies of development of innovative economy in Russia. It is shown that increased financing of innovation infrastructure and its basic institutions - venture capital funds, business incubators, technology parks - was not enough to create competitive environment that encourages the use of innovation. The factors of negative impact of foreign investors on innovative activity of enterprises of real sector of economy of Russia are examined. It is proved the ineffectiveness of increasing financing of development of certain parts of the innovative process without implementing the principle of common purpose of informal “team”: inventor - company - managers, that commercialize the invention. The approach to implementation of this principle by abolishing the taxon profit derived from using the innovation for a specified period.

PERSPECTIVE FORMS AND MECHANISMS OF MILITARY-DEFENCE AND SCIENTIFIC-INDUSTRIAL COOPERATION BETWEEN RUSSIA AND BRICS MEMBER-STATES

Abstract

The article is devoted to search of effective interaction forms between Russia and BRICS member- states in context of industrial and military-technological cooperation. In order to hold analysis of cooperation between Russia and BRICS alliance, estimation of current position in framework of partnership between Russia and member-states was realized: in context of military-technical cooperation peculiarities of armament export and import policy, and benefits and disadvantages of financial mechanisms (such as export crediting, offset liabilities, compensation payment, state insurance of export deals, direct financial support, leasing scheme), used for the present time, were searched. In conclusion the most potential significant forms of interaction are underlined, which are the following: elaboration of investment agreements system, implementation of conjoint programs in research and education, creation of mutual scientific platforms and centers. Common result of importance for cooperation between Russia and BRICS member-states in different directions in long-term perspective is emphasized.

GERMANY AS A LOCOMOTIVE OF THE EUROPEAN INTEGRATION

Abstract

The article aims to explore the role of Germany in the European integration process. The author analyzes the country’s contribution to the revenues and expenditures of the European Union budget, as well as the operating budget balances of the participating countries, and concludes the leading position of Germany in the EU regional policy. The author points out the prevailing share of European partners in the structure of German exports and imports, and therefore emphasizes a high dependence of Germany on a close cooperation with the EU-countries. The article examines the Germany’s position on the enlargement of the Union on the example of the eastern enlargement in 2004. As a determining factor for Germany serves the single market of the integration community and a lower rate of euro compared to the expensive Deutsche mark. Taking into consideration all the advantages and disadvantages for Germany, the author comes to the conclusion of a profitable position for Germany in the EU, so that all the costs of maintaining the integration grouping the country is capable to bear.

Abstract

Economic growth and development’s questions remain one of the crucial problems in modern economy and economics. Russia needs to implement new ideas of economic growth in order to lower effects of outside shocks. Investments can be regarded as one of the central elements of economic growth. It was founded that Russia has a great amount of savings, but does not generate a comparable amount of investments. The article is devoted to an analysis of this situation in terms of regional investment processes. The authors propose to introduce yardstick competition principle in order to initialize institutional transformations on the regional level.

AN ECONOMIC GROWTH AND FINANCIAL MARKETS’ DEVELOPMENT IN MODERN TIMES (2003-2014)

Abstract

The article deals with some special aspects of the financial markets’ development in the leading economies in Europe, America, Asia, BRICS and Persian Gulf countries. The author made the cross- country comparisons of the compound annual growth rates (CAGR) of real GDP and local stock market capitalization in 2003-2014; he also analyzed spreads between CAGR of the amount of lending and debt of the private non-financial sector. The high risk concentration in the banking sector of India, South Africa and Japan was defined as barrier for the diversification of funding sources for the local businesses as opposed to China and Korea, where the corporate bond market has been emerged.

Abstract

The article seeks to develop a methodological framework for the assessment of international integration processes at the company level. To do this end, the appropriate concepts were clarified, a conceptual approach to the integrated assessment of the effectiveness of international integration process was formulated, which is based on the concept of the synergetic effect, for the determination of which it was taken into account practically all the factors were considered as independent ones before. To identify the key components of a synergistic effect in the article the authors developed a cognitive map reflects the problem area.

Abstract

Economic transformations in the Kingdom of Bahrain led to the need to reform the education system and develop human resources. This paper examines the main stages of formation of the higher education system in the country and analyzes the problems of its development in the modern period. The development of the private sector and orientation on international cooperation is a key to the formation of a competitive education system in the Kingdom. Hence, a special attention is paid to the Bahrain’s position in the global education market, strategies of Bahraini universities and government initiatives in order to become a regional educational hub.

FINANCIAL RISK MANAGEMENT IN THE STOCK MARKET

Abstract

Along with huge capital outflow, fall of GDP, devaluation of national currency, strong volatility in the financial markets of the country, it becomes more difficult for Russian companies to attract investors and creditors for financing of the projects, and for investors to manage own securities portfolio. The purpose of this article is forming and strategy implementation of optimization of a portfolio of equity securities taking into account risk and profitability and strategy of immunization of a portfolio of debt securities of the Russian issuers. There author’s approaches to creation of a securities portfolio of the investor are applied, structures of the best portfolios equity and debt securities are determined.

CORPORATE FOREING DEBT: APPROACH TO ASSESSING«CRITICAL» AND MANAGEMENT

Abstract

The article analyzes the trends and changes in the volume of the structure of Russia’s foreign debt, as well as the factors that led to a sharp increase in corporate foreign debt. Statistically confirmed the thesis on the practical non-use of private external borrowing to modernize the country’s economy. Criteria of evaluation of «criticality» of foreign debts of companies and systemically assess the state of the external debt of the two largest steel companies - NLMK and MMK. It is proven to improve the parameters that characterize the state of the external debt of the companies, and also considered measures to manage the external corporate debt.

RUSSIAN DOMAIN MARKET: PROSPECTS AND DEVELOPMENT TRENDS

Abstract

This article analyzes the changes in the global domain name market and considers the prospects and development trends of the Russian domain space development. The purpose of the article is to identify the main directions of the Russian market domain development . The article revealed the impact of the common top-level domain name (gTLD) on the distribution of the global domain space, the importance of new top-level domain names (newTLD), factors and trends in the development of country top-level domains (ccTLD) on the example of the Russian zones: .ru, .rf . The positive dynamics of the market RF domain and the main domain registrars in the Russian zone of the network are defined in the article. The article highlights the significant role of the domain names for the country and the importance and need for the development and control of the Russian domain space.
