The natural-historical and socio-cultural foundations of personal self-identification

Abstract

The article describes some sources of personal self-identification that belong to the sphere of the unconscious and preconceptual, of certain predispositions and potentials, collective memory and traditions. The author believes that these ‘primary structures’ of human experience can be studied with the help of natural-historical approach along with the socio-cultural one.
