One hundred anniversary of the outstanding figure of home and abroad pharmacy professor Tatiana Ivanovna Toltsman

Abstract

Toltsman is the founder of modern scientific school in the sphere of Pharmacy Organization and Economics. Tatiana Ivanovna was the Head of the Pharmacy Organization chair for 35 years. She defended the Candidate of Pharmaceutical Sciences Dissertation in speciality « Pharmacy Organization». In 1964 the team of the chair issued the first modern student book on pharmacy organization. Toltsman payed much attention to the student scientific club, preparing the candidates of pharmaceutical sciences, and twenty eight specialists were raised by Tatiana Ivanovna Toltsman. Toltsman is the author of more than four hundred scientific works, eight books and monographs. Inventive investigations in priority pharmacy directions were executed at the chair under her leadership. She was the first to work out such directions as the substantiation of the methodologies of consumption study and the determination of the country different regions community needs as well as needs of medical preventive institutions in pharmaceuticals of different groups.

On the basis of 111 pharmacy organisations functioning in the Stavropol and Krasnodar Territories, the Rostov Region, Moscow and Moscow Region was realise the questioning of 437 pharmaceutical workers, from which 87% are «first-table workers». Professional diseases at 53% of respondents are revealed. Most often at pharmaceutical workers meets varicose expansion of veins (47% of cases). The reasons of a wide distribution of this disease, the list of effective medical products for its treatment and a measure of possible preventive maintenance were established.
