Abstract
The author analyzes the Russia-Pakistan cooperation in their fight against the drug threat. The drug spread in Russia is of menacing proportions nowadays and it poses a global threat not only to the health of the population but also to the national security of Russia. The Federal Drug Control Service of the Russian Federation (FSKN) intends to strengthen the international cooperation in the fight against the drug spread with the countries of the Central Asian region, including Pakistan. The article analyzes the main formats and directions of the interaction of the competent anti-drug structures of Russia and Pakistan. The article also emphasizes the role of such regional organizations in the fight against the drug spread, as the SCO, the CSTO, "Russia - NATO Council". The author highlights the importance of the Russia-Pakistan cooperation in the fight against the drug spread and the most perspective directions of this cooperation. The author concludes that the Russian-Pakistani interaction on this issue is in the interests of both countries and it also promotes strengthening of the regional and international security.
