Abstract

The data received from investigation of the relationship between the body weight and vital capacity of lungs of the Russian and foreign students of PFUR, who are studying in different courses. We identified their body height and weight, vital capacity of lungs and evaluated sickness rate. Analysis of the results shows that, there is a close relationship between the body weight and vital capacity of lungs in all tested individuals. However, for equal body weight, the Russian students have a greater vital capacity of lungs (average 500 ml) than the foreign ones. It revealed that during one-year adaptation to training in the University the body weight of the majority of students is increased. In Russian students with the increasing of body weight the vital capacity of lungs also elevates but in foreign students — decreases.
