Abstract
The article reviews the history of the formation of the term yellow expansion (yellow peril) in the world media as applied to Asians, in particular, immigrants from China. In addition, the author analyzes the evaluation plan for this concept, the saturation level and the degree of influence on the perception of the image of China as a whole in the pages of today's Russian press.
