Abstract
The article is devoted to the analyzing of Pelevin’s texts of the mentioned work and the texts of Tibetan Book of the Deads - Bardo Th dol. In Tibetan Bardo Th dol means the space of human being’s existence post mortem. According to Buddhismus in one of the parts of Bardo every human being waits for the next reincarnation. Pelevin’s main character - The Beautiful Lady - is among them, but she rejects her new birth. In Pelevin’s book the symbol of real human being’s life is pine-apple water, which is inaccessible for The Beautiful Lady. The Book by Pelevin including numerous Buddhistic images and symbols is enigmatic and demands the comprehensions of Buddhistic realities connected with Bardo Th dol. The writer transforms and adapts the fragments from this ancient Tibetan source to the ideas of modern society. The author of the article has attempted to interpret Pelevin’s enigmas.
