Abstract
In the article the question about influence of the Parable of the Prodigal Son upon A.S. Pushkin’s «The Station Agent» and А.V. Vampilov’s «The elder son» is considered. Due to the connection with the Bible plot these text however written in the different epochs get close; the correlations between the stylistic systems and between the ideas are set. The Parable in «The Station Agent» becomes a destroying factor, an imposed plot. The characters in «The elder son» play the Parable in a mysterious way, and due to that its plot makes the family idyll possible.
