Abstract
The author proves that from linguistic hermeneutics positions the Latin term homo sapiens is not the most precise substantial nomination for human beings. There is a great number of other Latin and Latinized linguistic “mirrors” and thus its various peculiarities are being reflected. Lexico-semantic core of the concept “Human” is heterogeneous, consists of contradictory elements (lexical-semantic groups, subgroups and isolated units).
