Abstract

The paper is devoted to the history of religion tolerance forming in Russian empire after publication of the religion liberty low in 1905. Based on facts from the past of Old Believers in Tambov province, the author demonstrates the problems of realization of civil and religion claims by nonconformist believers in pre-revolutionary Russian province.
