Russian IDA policy - contours of BRICS partnership
Abstract
This article analyzes the characteristics of Russian policy in the sphere of international development assistance and gives us a comparative analysis of policies BRICS countries in this field. Basing on this analysis the author provides conclusions regarding the areas of partnership of the Russian Federation and other BRICS countries in the implementation of international aid programs in third countries.

People’s Republic of China as a new international donor: particularities of IDA policy
Abstract
This article examines the international development assistance policy of China as an emerging donor, identifies its peculiarities, which are based on the wide understanding of development assistance, as well as on the equal partnership between China and recipient countries. The analysis allowed to determine the basic interests which stimulate China to participate in the processes of international aid. Also the article deals with possible cooperation fields between Russia and China within the international development assistance issues.

India’s participation in international development assistance
Abstract
The article deals with the evolution of the status of India - from the recipient to the largest emerging donor of international aid programs. Administrative mechanisms of Indian assistance, as well as geographical and sectoral structure of projects funded by India in international assistance programs are shown. Particular emphasis is placed on the participation of India in «South-South» cooperation via a series of inter-regional organizations.

China: towards the energy-efficient economy
Abstract
Mass upgrade of the fixed assets in heavy industry and energy sector in the 21st century, allows speaking about the beginning of the intensive phase in the development of Chinese economy, marked in the last five years by the gradual entry of the country among the world leaders in science and technology, as well as a substantial reduction in the energy intensity of GDP. In industry and energy sphere the potential of energy savings is already largely selected by almost continuous modernization of the production and energy sectors of China. Further improvement in energy intensity will be in greater degree dependent on the economy restructuring, changes in the energy balance, solving existing problems in fuel transportation and energy transmission.

Investment potential of Cape Verde
Abstract
In this article, author covers main ways to develop the economy of Republic Cape Verde through its investment potential. Investment plays a big role for Cape Verde because it is limited in nature recourses. Author suggests a few paths of development to increase the investment attractiveness. All of them are based on analysis of marco- and microeconomic indexes of the past few years. Moreover, they correspond with a government strategy of economic development of Cape Verde.

Basic of Features investment activity of Russian companies abroad
Abstract
The article analyzes the characteristics of the development of investment activity of Russian companies abroad. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the nature of changes in the investment strategy of Russian business abroad after the global financial crisis of 2008. Emphasizes that government support of major Russian companies commodity sector, including geopolitical reasons, leads to conservation of backward economic structure and export of our country, and to maintain the status quo of the largest economic agents. However, the activities of Russian foreign midsize businesses are concentrated in high-tech industries, can act as one of the most significant modernization of the Russian economy.

Greenlandic issues in Danish-US relations in the 40s of XX century
Abstract
The article deals with Greenland as an important factor in the Danish-American relations in the middle of the XX century. The author examines the U.S. policy to ensure American military presence in the Danish high north during World War II and the postwar period, analyzes the approaches to this problem in the Danish historiography.
