In the article approaches of various economic schools to definition of concept of an economic category «financial maintenance» are investigated, and also interrelations of this category and other financial categories are established. On the basis of the research the concept «financial maintenance» is specified and the concept «financial maintenance of material base» is certain.

Modern world developments and current social economic problems lead to the food shortage increase. The regional approach to the study of the world soybean market problem allows us to make a forecast as to the progressive and regressive ways of food security problem solution.
