The Analysis of Russian Foreign Trade's Dynamics and its Correspondence to the Innovative Way of Development

The paper contains a regression-based analysis of Russian foreign merchandise trade's dynamics for 1995-2007 and is accompanied by a brief qualitative analysis of Russia's foreign merchandise trade goods structure. Forecast for Russian Federation's machines and equipment export is made by regression-based analysis according to inert and innovation scenario. The results obtained are used to produce certain conclusions about direction of Russia's economy modern development for the purpose of its correspondence with innovation way of development declared at 2000 and to work out several general recommendations concerning main directions of state economic policy for the future.
