Abstract
The article deals with the problem of pollution of the coastal zone of the Gulf of Guinea, especially of the coast of Côte d’Ivoire. For residents of the coastal zone of Côte d’Ivoire seafood play very important role in the diet, accounting for more than 65%. In this regard, the use of certain pesticides and production of hydrocarbons near the coast of Côte d’Ivoire cause serious damage to the health of the population of the coastal regions. In this paper, an example of two regions of the country: Zhakvil and dabou examines the causes and factors of the mass death of fish and other categories of seafood contamination.
