The periodization of history of russian online journalism revisited

This article attempts to divide into periods the history of Russian online journalism in the age of Web 1.0.: since 1990 when the first Russian newsgroups were created on USENET till 2003 when the first Russian blogwares were designed. The author discusses that the main trends in the evolution of traditional journalism XVIII—XIX centuries and Russian online journalism in the age of Web 1.0. have much in common.
