Abstract

It is considered stiffeners, that don't coincide withlinesof principal curvatures,in thevariational-difference method(BPM) analysis of shellsof complex shapedefinedin the linesof the principal curvatures.Ribs aredescribed by theKirchhoff-Clebsch theory of curved bars:a tension, a bendinganda torsion ofa rib are taken into account; shells are described by the Kirchhoff-Love theoryof thin elasticshells.
