Abstract
The work of dentists is characterized as a manual and presents a risk of injury to small sharp tools, the creation of bacterial aerosols and chemical use. The questioning of Moscow medical workers showed that 41% of dentists are working in hazardous conditions, 10% are not informed about the existing workplace factors hazard, while 33% did not always comply with safety rules. Classes on occupational safety spend less, and their quality is worse than in other medical institutions. Dentists had more pronounced claims to the quality of prophylactic check ups and 21% of them had work injuries. The measures for injury prevention are proposed.
