Abstract
For elimination of soft tissue abnormalities such as marginal muscular or frenulum attachment and compensation of the insufficient attached gingiva the correction of the oral vestibule may be necessary. Various techniques of its correction with or without grafts or other biomaterials have previously been described. This study is carried out to increase effectiveness of oral vestibule correction techniques in different clinical cases.
Results: the maximum augmentation of the oral vestibule depth has been achieved after the Edlan-Meichar vestibuloplasty, but the substantial growth of the attached gingiva has been observed in patients treated with the vestibuloplasty with free gingival grafts.
