The Impact of the Cooperation between Russia and the European Union on the Energy Issue in the Political Partnership
Abstract
The article analyses the cooperation between Russia and the European Union on the energy issue, investigates the factors which make the noticeable influence on the character and the aims of this cooperation. The particular attention devotes to the issue of creation the unique EU energy policy towards Russia in the context of the EU fifth enlargement to the East, the result of which was the joining to this Organization a number of states from the Central and Eastern Europe and Baltic states - supporters of toughening the common European policy towards Russia.
