The author examines some key elements of the South Africa's modern scientific and technological potential and the impact of the country's leading positions in the field of high technologies on economical and political situation as well as on dynamics of regional and global processes.

The article deals with the contemporary peculiarities of American Indians movements in Ecuador in the context of recognition of their rights for life and wellbeing by the world community.

The article analyses the cooperation between Russia and the European Union on the energy issue, investigates the factors which make the noticeable influence on the character and the aims of this cooperation. The particular attention devotes to the issue of creation the unique EU energy policy towards Russia in the context of the EU fifth enlargement to the East, the result of which was the joining to this Organization a number of states from the Central and Eastern Europe and Baltic states - supporters of toughening the common European policy towards Russia.

The article is devoted to the analysis of political and socio-economic situation in Japan in the middle of the XIX century and in Ecuador in the middle of the XIX and the beginning of the XX centuries. This study gives the clue to understand the revolutionary events in the distance countries.
