EURASIAN MIGRATION SYSTEM: THEORETICAL AND POLITICAL APPROACHES

The author argues that numerous and diverse migration flows between the post-soviet states can be conceptualized and interpreted as a Eurasian migration system. This approach is proposed as a basis to improve coordination between migration policies in the states of the region as well as to develop a common migration management concept within the frames of regional organizations like Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and Eurasian Organization for Economic Cooperation (EurAsEC).
