Abstract
The article deals with establishing and developing of Itamaraty - Brazil's Foreign Service. The basic reform has changed the ministry's structure due to new foreign policy guidelines of Brazil. The special attention is paid to contemporary problems of the Brazilian diplomatic service, the most complex and extensive in Latin America.
